America Recycles Week
At MVMS, we celebrate America Recycles Week each November. During lunch, students are rewarded for having reusable lunch containers and recycling. There are also trivia questions and quizzes for students to take to win prizes. Students can participate in eco-crafting activities during lunch. |

Earth Hour
During MVMS Earth Hour, all of the teachers are encouraged to turn off their classroom lights between 8:30 am and 9:30 am to replicate the real International Earth Hour. Students all wear black clothes to school to get into the spirit, and there are announcements and videos about Earth Hour. |

Earth Day
Every April, Mount View has special activities to celebrate Earth Day (Earth Week). The Environmental Leadershp Team (ELT) runs many events open to the entire school. There are activities to create and post colorful tissue paper murals, trivia contests Colorful stained murals go in the cafeteria, Green trivia contests, and there's always a Earth centered trivia questions are broadcasted. |

G/T Enrichment Fair
Mount View hosts a G/T Enrichment Fair each May to highlight the achievements of students in G/T instructional seminars and courses. Students in the ELT (Environmental Leadership Team) run a trivia wheel with questions about our Green School program and post a "Wall of Green" displays showcasing Student Driven Initiatives. |
